PRICING & SUITABILITY

Before you book

  • Quoted fee

The proposed visit and quoted fee are confirmed before booking.

  • Professional scope

The attending healthcare professional confirms whether the requested procedure is appropriate in the accommodation setting.

  • Emergency boundary

A hotel nurse visit is not emergency care. Call 112 for a life-threatening emergency in Türkiye.

A blood collection visit answers the practical question of where a sample can be taken. It does not choose a test panel or diagnose from the result. CNR Medicare coordinates a qualified collection provider after reviewing the test request, preparation directions and accommodation details. Laboratory analysis and doctor interpretation have their own responsibilities.

Start with the exact laboratory request

Start with the exact test request from the clinician responsible for interpreting the results. A request for “a blood test” does not tell the collection provider which tubes, handling method or laboratory pathway are needed. Send the test names and any preparation instructions through the accepted private channel. CNR Medicare coordinates the enquiry; the laboratory and qualified collection provider confirm what can be collected at the proposed Istanbul address.

A named test list avoids drawing blood without knowing which tubes or handling requirements the laboratory needs. Ask the requesting clinician to clarify unclear orders.

Clarify any fasting or preparation instruction

Preparation varies by the ordered tests. Some requests may include fasting or timing directions; others do not. Follow the instruction from the requesting clinician or laboratory rather than fasting by default or stopping a regular medicine on your own. If the order is unclear, seek clarification before the visit. Tell the provider about relevant medical conditions, previous fainting during blood draws or difficult venous access.

The clinician or laboratory should give preparation instructions for the actual tests. Do not fast or stop medication solely because a hotel collection has been requested. A test order should identify the requesting clinician or service, especially when the traveller expects a later medical decision. Ask where the report will go and who will explain it. A laboratory may deliver a result to a portal without providing the clinical interpretation the patient needs.

If the patient has more than one test request, identify which clinician ordered each test and whether the same laboratory can process them. A collection visit does not automatically combine unrelated requests. Where a test needs a particular sample condition, the laboratory must confirm it before the provider accepts a hotel visit. Keep the original request available so the reported result can be matched to the correct clinical question.

Prepare the address and patient details

Give the complete hotel or residence address, room access instructions and patient identification details required by the provider. A suitable collection space and a reachable contact may be necessary. If the patient is a child or needs assistance, say so before confirming. The collection provider decides whether the setting and staffing are appropriate. The same tests may require a clinic if the patient or handling requirements make a hotel visit unsuitable.

Make the collection location and building entry clear and share any relevant medical context with the provider. Some tests or patient conditions may require a facility.

Understand collection and sample transport

Collection is only the first part of the testing pathway. The sample must be labelled for the right patient and passed to the laboratory under its handling requirements. Ask which laboratory receives it, whether the order covers all requested tests and how the report will be delivered. Do not infer a result time from the collection appointment; the laboratory confirms its own process for the actual tests.

Ask which laboratory receives the sample, how it is identified and how the report will be delivered. Collection does not itself imply a particular reporting time. Sample handling can influence whether a hotel collection is feasible. The provider and laboratory must confirm the collection materials, transport arrangement and any timing constraints for the actual ordered tests. The visitor should not infer these details from a generic blood-test listing.

Ask how the sample will leave the accommodation and who is responsible for handing it to the laboratory. The collection provider may need to coordinate transport and processing requirements with that laboratory. A sample taken without an accepted route for analysis does not answer the patient’s question. If something changes after collection, ask the provider how the laboratory and requesting clinician will be informed.

Keep results separate from medical interpretation

A laboratory report contains results but does not, by itself, explain what they mean for the patient. Identify the clinician who requested the tests and how that person will review the findings. If interpretation is needed, arrange a separate medical review rather than asking a collection professional to diagnose from the report. Ask what happens if a sample cannot be processed or the clinician requests a repeat.

A report is a data record. A doctor must interpret it in context if you need clinical advice, and abnormal results should follow the requesting clinician’s contact plan.

Escalate illness rather than waiting for a sample

If the patient is acutely unwell, a planned blood draw may not be the right next step. Contact a clinician for assessment, especially if symptoms have changed since the tests were ordered.

If symptoms worsen, contact a clinician or emergency service as appropriate. Do not use a planned blood draw as a substitute for urgent assessment. CNR Medicare coordinates the booking; the licensed healthcare provider assesses suitability and performs any clinical procedure. For a life-threatening emergency in Türkiye, call 112 immediately. If the patient has fainted during blood collection before or has difficulty with venous access, tell the provider before confirming the hotel visit. That history may affect the suggested setting and staffing. The provider decides whether collection is appropriate at the accommodation. If a test must be repeated, ask the requesting clinician why and obtain a new confirmed collection plan rather than assuming the first booking includes it.

The patient should know whether the report goes to them, the requesting clinician or both. If a report is difficult to understand, do not rely on a machine translation of an isolated value. The clinician who ordered the test can interpret it with symptoms, medical history and the reason for testing. Arrange that review separately when it was not included in the original request.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Contact CNR Medicare and provide the requested blood tests, patient's age, your Istanbul location, preferred collection time and preferred language.
  2. Step 2: Share any laboratory request, physician order or preparation instructions and confirm whether fasting or another test-specific requirement applies.
  3. Step 3: The healthcare professional attends your hotel, Airbnb or residence and verifies the patient details and arranged laboratory tests before collection.
  4. Step 4: The required blood sample is collected, identified and prepared for transfer according to the laboratory process.
  5. Step 5: Laboratory processing, result delivery and any medical interpretation are handled according to the separate testing and follow-up arrangements.

CNR Medicare coordinates medical services for visitors in Istanbul. We are not a hospital or a clinic: examination, treatment and laboratory analysis are carried out by the licensed health professionals and partner facilities we work with.

Ideally, yes. If a doctor has already requested specific tests, provide that information. If you are unsure which tests are appropriate, a medical assessment may be needed first.

Do I need to fast before the blood test?

Some laboratory tests require fasting while others do not. Confirm the preparation requirements for the specific tests before collection.

Can I drink water while fasting?

This depends on the preparation instructions for the requested test. Confirm the exact requirement when arranging the collection.

Should I stop my medication before the blood test?

Do not stop prescribed medication unless the healthcare professional responsible for your care has specifically instructed you to do so.

Can blood be collected from my Airbnb or residence?

Yes. Collection may be coordinated at hotels, Airbnbs, serviced apartments and residences, subject to location and availability.

What happens to the sample after collection?

The sample is labelled and transferred for laboratory processing according to the arranged testing service.

How quickly will I receive my results?

Turnaround time depends on the individual laboratory test and processing requirements. Confirm the expected timing when arranging the tests.

Can a doctor review my laboratory results?
