PRICING & SUITABILITY

Before you book

  • Estimated arrival

Our team targets a 30–60 minute arrival window across Istanbul. The estimate is confirmed before booking and may vary with clinician availability, traffic and access.

  • Quoted fee

The proposed visit scope and fee are confirmed with you before the appointment is booked.

  • Clinical responsibility

The attending doctor examines you and decides whether hotel care, testing or another care setting is appropriate.

A health problem can be difficult to assess from a hotel room when you do not know the local care options or whether you need a physical examination. CNR Medicare coordinates doctor visits for visitors staying in Istanbul, subject to provider availability and suitability of the setting. The doctor examines and advises you; CNR Medicare handles the practical arrangement. A hotel visit is for concerns that can be assessed there and does not replace emergency services or hospital facilities.

Where we come in Istanbul

Four districts where many visitors stay have their own page:

Staying somewhere else in Istanbul? Requests from other districts are welcome too. Send the hotel or street address, and the team confirms whether a doctor visit can be arranged there, and the estimated arrival for that address, before anything is booked. Staying in a private home rather than a hotel? The house call doctor page covers visits to residences.

When a hotel doctor visit is a useful option

A visitor may have a symptom that is hard to assess through a message or video call yet does not call for emergency transport. A hotel doctor visit allows a clinician to take a history and examine the patient at the confirmed accommodation address. This may be useful for a fever-like illness, a stomach concern, a medication question that needs assessment or another non-emergency complaint. The physician decides whether the hotel setting can support the examination needed. Requesting a visit does not settle the diagnosis or the treatment before the doctor sees you.

Before a visit is arranged, describe the main concern and how it has changed, along with any significant conditions or medicines. If the patient is a child, an older person, pregnant or has a condition that may affect the assessment, mention that when requesting the service. These details help identify the appropriate provider and whether a hotel visit should be considered at all. If the concern is suitable for remote discussion without physical examination, an online doctor appointment may be another route. The clinical need, rather than the convenience of a room visit, determines the right setting.

What the doctor can assess in your room

The visiting doctor can ask about symptoms, review relevant history and medicines, and perform an examination that is feasible in the accommodation setting. The findings may support advice or a treatment decision, or they may show that another level of assessment is needed. The exact examination depends on the patient's condition and the provider's judgment. A hotel room does not contain all the equipment, observation capacity or diagnostic services of a clinic or hospital. An on-site visit should be presented with that limit from the beginning.

Testing, a procedure or specialist review may need to be arranged separately. A doctor may recommend a laboratory sample, imaging or a clinic visit after examining you. The doctor determines appropriate care after examining you. Booking a hotel visit does not commit the doctor to a requested treatment. Ask what was found, what remains uncertain and which changes would warrant reassessment. CNR Medicare can coordinate the next service when requested, but the health professional makes the clinical recommendation and the additional provider confirms its own availability and scope.

Describe symptoms before discussing a particular treatment

When you make contact, say when the problem began, whether it is improving or worsening, and what is most difficult now. Mention a measured fever if you have one, episodes of vomiting or diarrhoea if relevant, or a new problem after travel or earlier treatment. Tell the doctor about medicines already taken, known allergies and how those allergies affected you. A traveller's own explanation of an illness is helpful context, but similar symptoms can have different causes. The doctor needs the full pattern before deciding whether treatment, testing or observation is appropriate.

Bring any important recent report or prescription connected to the current concern, especially if another clinician has already assessed it. Have the patient's identification and a phone number available for practical communication, and let the team know if the patient cannot speak for themselves. Do not delay contacting emergency services while trying to assemble records. The first message can be short; the doctor can ask detailed clinical questions at the visit. Accurate early information helps avoid arranging a hotel appointment for a person who actually needs hospital-level assessment.

Make the accommodation visit workable

Provide the hotel name or precise address and explain how an external clinician is admitted. Some properties require reception to be notified, a guest to accompany visitors or specific access details before anyone can reach the room. At an apartment or residence, include the entrance, intercom or contact instructions that are necessary to locate you. The team confirms the address and proposed visit details with the available provider. Travel and building access can affect the arrangement, so an enquiry is not an arrival-time commitment.

Choose a place where the patient can speak privately and the doctor can carry out a suitable examination. If a companion will be present, tell the clinician and respect the patient's wishes about discussing personal information. Have relevant medicines and notes at hand rather than searching for them after the visit begins. If you move accommodation or the patient's condition changes before the appointment, update the coordination team promptly. A change of address or clinical situation may require a different plan or provider confirmation.

Recognise the limits of non-emergency hotel care

A hotel doctor is not an ambulance team and a guest room is not an emergency department. Severe chest pain, serious breathing difficulty, sudden signs of stroke, loss of consciousness, major uncontrolled bleeding or a severe allergic reaction need emergency response.

Even a concern that initially seems suitable for the hotel may require transfer to another setting after examination. A clinician may need imaging, extended monitoring, a specialist or a procedure that cannot be provided in the room. Ask the doctor where to go next and how promptly. CNR Medicare may coordinate practical arrangements for follow-on care when available, but a separate service may need a separate quote and confirmation. Presenting the limitations clearly helps the patient make an informed choice before the hotel visit begins.

Confirm the visit and the next step

Send the patient's main symptom, the address, preferred language and a reachable contact number. The coordination team checks the proposed provider and appointment details. Review who will visit, when the visit is proposed, what the quoted price covers and how any additional service would be discussed. A form or WhatsApp message begins an enquiry; the appointment is confirmed only when the details are agreed. The clinician's own availability and the suitability of the request both matter to that confirmation.

Before the doctor leaves, ask what the assessment found, whether any test, medicine or further examination is recommended and how to respond if symptoms change. Clarify whether you will receive a written note and how to reach the treating provider about a specific follow-up question. Keep any written visit instructions or medical reports for follow-up care during your trip. CNR Medicare can coordinate later appointments if needed. The doctor remains responsible for diagnosis, treatment and clinical instructions, while CNR Medicare manages the agreed coordination.

How it works

  1. Describe what is happening: Share the main symptom, when it began, who is affected and the accommodation address.
  2. Confirm hotel access: Provide any visitor, reception or room-access information needed for the proposed appointment.
  3. Review the arrangement: Check the available doctor, time, language and quoted visit scope before confirming.
  4. Meet the clinician: The doctor examines the patient, discusses findings and decides whether further care is necessary.

A doctor can visit your hotel when that setting is appropriate; some situations need hospital care.

Falling ill on a trip is not only a medical problem; it is a logistics problem. The hospital route asks a tired traveller to find an address, take a number and explain a fever in a second language. The hotel route asks for one message.

  • Hospital route: finding the right hospital in an unfamiliar city → With CNR: the doctor we coordinate comes to your room
  • Hospital route: a queue you cannot estimate → With CNR: an appointment arranged for your location
  • Hospital route: describing a fever through a translation app → With CNR: the visit is coordinated in your language
  • Your hotel, your Airbnb or your residence — the service comes to where you are staying
  • One WhatsApp thread or one phone call is the whole booking process

CNR Medicare coordinates medical services for visitors in Istanbul. We are not a hospital or a clinic: examination, treatment and laboratory analysis are carried out by the licensed health professionals and partner facilities we work with.

Frequently asked questions

How fast will the doctor arrive?

Usually within 30–60 minutes after your visit is confirmed, day or night. Send your hotel name and room number on WhatsApp so the doctor can come straight to your room.

Can a doctor examine me in my Istanbul hotel room?

A visit can be requested for a non-emergency concern when an available provider considers the accommodation setting appropriate. The exact examination depends on the doctor's clinical judgment. Some problems require a clinic or hospital instead.

What should I send with the first hotel doctor request?

Share the main symptom, when it began, who is affected, the address and a contact number. Mention a significant change in condition or important health history. The team can ask for further practical details before confirming a visit.

Can I request a particular treatment?

Tell the doctor about your symptoms and any previous treatments. The physician determines appropriate care after assessment; treatment is based on that assessment, not on a request.

Can the hotel doctor arrange tests if they are needed?

The clinician may recommend testing after the examination. CNR Medicare can help coordinate a separate relevant service when available. Ask how results would be reviewed and whether the test has a separate cost.

What if the doctor decides a hotel room is the wrong setting?

Ask which setting can provide the assessment or treatment needed and how promptly to seek it. The doctor may direct you to a clinic, hospital or other provider. CNR Medicare may assist with practical coordination where appropriate.

Should I notify the hotel before the visit?

Check the property's visitor policy and tell reception or building staff when access approval is needed. Give the coordination team accurate entrance and room-contact details. Access arrangements can affect whether the provider reaches you as planned.

Can someone else be present during the examination?

Tell the clinician who is present and follow the patient's wishes about privacy. A caregiver may need to provide information for a child or someone unable to explain symptoms. The provider determines what is appropriate for the examination.

Are follow-up services included in the hotel visit?

Confirm what the quoted visit includes before booking. Any additional care, tests or transport will be discussed separately. Ask the doctor which follow-up is clinically necessary and the team how it would be coordinated.

Can a doctor come to an Airbnb or rented apartment in Istanbul?

Yes, a visit can be requested at an Airbnb, serviced apartment or private residence as well as a hotel. Send the full street address, the building or flat number and how the doctor gets in, such as an intercom name or the host's instructions. If a door code or key box is involved, share it privately once the visit is confirmed. The doctor still decides whether the apartment is a suitable place for the examination.

Will I get a medical report for my travel insurance claim?

Ask for this when you book, and check with your insurer which documents and details it requires. Any medical document depends on the doctor's assessment and applicable requirements, so it cannot be promised in advance. Keep any written notes or documents the doctor provides. CNR Medicare does not decide whether an insurer accepts a claim or reimburses the cost; that remains between you and your insurance company.

Who is the doctor who comes to my room?

Visits are carried out by licensed partner physicians who work with CNR Medicare, and the visit is coordinated in English with English-speaking doctors. CNR Medicare is a coordinator, not a hospital or clinic; its registrations are Health Tourism ST-0075 · TÜRSAB 9796. If you would like to know who will attend, ask the team before confirming. The attending doctor is responsible for the examination and any clinical decisions.

Can I book a hotel doctor for later today or tomorrow?

Yes. Not every request is for right now: you can ask for a visit at a preferred time, for example after a tour or before a flight, and the request form lets you choose how soon you need a doctor. The team checks clinician availability for that time and your address, then confirms the appointment. If symptoms get worse while you wait, message the team so the timing can be reviewed.

Can the doctor see a child or an older family member at the hotel?

A request can be made for a child, a teenager or an older traveller, but say so in the first message along with the patient's age. The team then looks for a doctor suitable for that patient, and the doctor decides whether a room examination is appropriate. A parent or carer should stay present, have the patient's regular medicines to hand and describe symptoms the patient cannot explain alone.
